I really appreciate Chris's way of including everyone and allowing so much input from his readers and clients. . . so glad to have found this exceptional UK coach!!!

I was talking to my brother over the weekend, and I said "Chris Wesley is the only bloke I can talk to, who I feel really understands what I'm feeling.".

I’m looking forward to next year, but even better, I’m not waiting for it and I’ve started kicking back and having fun now. I’m looking forward to the new friends I will make and again, have already made progress on that front just by getting to know colleagues better and for a change, going out with them & their friends.

I am also realistic and I know I will hit obstacles and dips in the road. But they can be overcome, the important thing is not to let them weigh me down for too long. I will try to focus more on my own happiness and leave other people to create their own and do what is best for them.

Thank you for your help and assistance over the last month. It was much needed and very much appreciated. Another lesson learnt there is asking for help when needed. It is common knowledge that one should look at the glass half full, but it’s not often advised how to do so in everyday situations. Well forget the glass you have helped me see the half full bottle!!!

(I was tempted to continue with this analogy but I sense I should stop there.)

The only reason I give it a 9 out of 10 is because there is always room for improvement in all things in some manner.

The Life Purpose Course for me in particular was the answer to issues I had in my mind that other traditional [therapy] methods just didnt even begin to address.

My experience and impression is that Life Coaching is a very proactive and progressive solution to dealing with lifes issues and decisions yet its not a blindly optimistic toss at the realities we all face in our lives. All in all a very positive and results oriented experience.

Finally, I liked the fact that it was not all deadly serious and even though my situation at work seemed a bit hopeless at times, there was always some great advice and some affirmation that the situation I was in was not wholly of my own making. I really was not sure what to expect from "life coaching" and have overall been very impressed. A great deal of it is actually common sense, but when life is overtaking you it is very hard to see the wood for the trees and even the most obvious things are obscured. I have gained a great deal from the experience and have recommended it to a few friends who are salaried slaves and could perhaps do with redressing the life/work balance. I just hope I can remember all the advice you have given me and make sure I put it to good use. I may have to return when I do decide on a job to make sure the old coper in me does not land herself in a similar mess!

The only thing that may have helped me would be an email confirmation of the next appointment, but that is really only because I didn't often have my diary with me when I called you.

You have made me smudge my mascara to the point of no return, but also made me laugh out loud. Blips sound good to me, I can cope with them, but I am devastated that you do not have a magic wand. ... Thanks for sharing your private thoughts and personal blips, it really makes me see that all is not lost and I should keep trying, after all, if Chris has occasional blips….well so can I .

Now I've got you to help me I know I'm going to get there...

I feel I've had a huge breakthrough this evening. I think for the first time I'm really beginning to "get" what it's important for me to do and what's not.

Thank you for your news letters and advice. I have acted on this, and am now in a great job, and it helped to have your 'making friends with your boss' type advice to do this. I stopped being angry and started to be proactive and got my confidence back, and proceeded to go to an interview and get a new job,

It’s amazing how much more helpful people can be when you try a different approach. I was [helped] and, all in all, I feel much better about the whole situation.

...really enjoyed it, got loads out of it, and found Chris really easy to talk to, non-judgemental, with a great sense of humour that put me at ease. It was very clear and I understood what we were doing and why.

... The session really helped me to get clarity on what I was doing and why. Prior to the session I felt that i was with the wrong man, however I have since realised that I always think I'm with the wrong man, and in fact my own fear of committment is the only thing preventing me from having what I want - namely a family.

As a result of me being more honest with myself, I am much more open and loving towards my boyfriend, my relationship has got a lot better, and we're looking forward to starting a family within the 18 months.

The problem is that when you are in that position, it is very difficult to pull yourself out of it. Saying don’t worry just does not work!!

Coaching is definitely a great support and it gave me the confidence to persevere and keep going. It was also really useful to be given the tools to try and this in itself was so valuable, as the greatest issue was just feeling stuck and not being sure where to go.

Your coaching style was excellent and you managed the encouragement vs hard talking very well and it certainly helped me get through a very dark time. How I am enjoying the sunshine now!! As the old phase goes what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but I would not wish it on anyone!

I really get so much from your articles which, for me, cover topics that make me laugh, think, feel sad, happy and loads more. But you speak from the heart and share not only your professional thoughts and advice; I feel you come from a personal place too but you're not scared 'to go there'. I find that truly special and thank you so much because this gives me courage to face my fears knowing the world isn't going to come crashing down. I may be a bit wobbly for a while, but that's how I learn and am able to move on feeling stronger.

My underlying problem is a fear of success - how strange is that. My theory is that if I am successful earning a good living for me any my family, who will support me? How strange when I will be supporting myself but I have always had support from my parents, my partner, my boss etc. If I am a success my decisions are all mine - no-one to bounce things off as I have always done!

There, in a nutshell - I think this is my big problem. Although I have always had a successful career I have always had someone, somewhere beside me along the way - now I go it alone and there is no-one there???

I will definitely work with you on this one but thought I would drop you a line whilst it is still fresh in my very short term memory as it is an inspiring insight into my brain which I have never had before.

... I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. This course has really helped me get a better sense of perspective, and I can't tell you how much more positive my general outlook is. I'm more relaxed and upbeat and I often get a really nice (and sometimes new) vibe from the people around me. I even get out of bed without having to think twice about it now – a small thing to some people but to me that contrast is quite powerful to my day-to-day.

This newsletter caught me at the end of my tether, in a state of completely having given up. I know I need to change, but I don't know how, this exercise really gave me some hope. I have about a year's worth of work on the back of it. But I feel I have insight I've never had before, despite having looked at lots of coaching exercises, this one really worked for me.

I read your website quite often and love the content. I think you do your "stuff" really well and I enjoy it immensley, thank you! All your content is insightful, useful and practical and down to earth. New insights are always valuable and because I don't just read it but also apply it to my life I have come a long way in my life and am able to lead by example for my family.

I receive your news letters and really really appreciate them ... Often your letters arrive at very pertinent times and the themes often overlap considerably with things I am battling with.

... This [issue] caused me lots of problems and it seemed impossible for a while. Then in a moment of clarity I started looking at your suggestion from the opposite end – probably what you had originally intended! ... Once I started thinking like this many things fell into place.

It gets to the heart of many matters that I know I suffer from. I am not too good at thinking strategically, being very assertive. I often let others 'get off the hook' and therefore subjugate my needs.
